Cefla Finishing еще раз подняла планку. Новый распыляющий робот iBotic, работающий в Декартовой системе координат, демонстрирует инновации, повышающие производительность и снижающие производственные затраты

Cefla Finishing raises the bar once more. The new iBotic Cartesian spraying robot features innovations to boost productivity and cut operating costs.

IMOLA, 31 July 2021. Still the spraying robot with the highest performance 15 years after its introduction, iBotic now includes a range of ground-breaking options to completely avoid downtime for colour changeovers and an energy recovery device to reduce costs and improve sustainability.

TIMESKIP – zero downtime for colour changeovers

Colour changeovers on a spraying robot have always incurred downtime. A realistic estimate points to approximately 30 three-minute stoppages per shift. This adds up to one and a half hours of production lost each shift. Cefla Finishing has therefore developed an exclusive system which enables iBotic to continue coating with one set of guns while the second arm undergoes automatic colour changeover.

Over a month, considering 20 days with single eight-hour shifts, the additional uptime can reach 30 hours, which is a conservative estimate. Constant uptime earns money and speeds up ROI. Moreover, the cleaning procedures performed by the TIMESKIP device significantly reduce solvent consumption and cut back on lacquer wastage.

POWERBACK – reduces energy costs by up to 20%

A boost for sustainability comes from Cefla Finishing’s POWERBACK. Integrated into the equipment, this device recovers energy from the decelerating spray arms and exploits it to power the outlet fan. This lowers operating costs and contributes to increasing the degree of sustainability, both environmentally and economically.

Keep an eye on production from within

A third optional feature is the internal camera which enables any connected device to transmit an internal view of the machine to monitor operating conditions. This allows the operator to monitor production while loading workpieces onto the line. It requires a large screen that is not supplied with the equipment. Cefla Finishing provide a large variety of service options which include remote assistance, so an internal camera also facilitates remote servicing and troubleshooting in case of identified faults.

Flexibility and production efficiency

Available with one or two arms, iBotic also features a new HMI with intuitive commands, user-friendly graphics and a software integration to help operators manage the equipment. Little training is required to become familiar with the interface and the software includes diagnostic tools, information to support maintenance requirements and production data which can be consulted directly or fed into the company ERP for further analysis. Addressing the need for greater flexibility, the new iBotic has lost none of its ability to sustain significant production volumes and achieves improved cost efficiency thanks to TIMESKIP and POWERBACK, two valuable optional features, plus an intelligent HMI to support operators and optimise the production process.
