The challenges of the global macroeconomic landscape did not slow interest in the new era of innovation outlined by SCM for the woodworking industry.
Integrated solutions, advanced technologies, proactive services and technical training attracted thousands of customers and dealers from 60 countries to the Headquarters in Rimini.
Numerous world premieres showcased connected, flexible and sustainable production models within reach of companies across the industry.
SCM reopened the doors of its Technology Center in Rimini and the market responded enthusiastically despite the challenges posed by the current geopolitical and macroeconomic context.

The Open House organised at the Group’s Headquarters from 12 to 14 March welcomed more than 3,000 visitors from 60 countries, demonstrating strong international interest in the new products and services developed for the entire woodworking sector.
More than 1,000 companies from the industry attended the event, with the most represented markets being Italy, Poland, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Dealers from around the world were also strongly represented, with more than 300 attendees.
SCM outlined a new era of woodworking innovation, presenting a factory model where competitive advantage is no longer ensured solely by the machine or the plant, but by an integrated ecosystem of technologies, services and software solutions enabling connected, flexible and sustainable production processes.
This approach is also driven by an increasingly proactive after-sales activity which, thanks to advanced AI tools, uses information collected from more than 5,000 connected SCM machines worldwide and transforms it into advanced services.
As highlighted during the press conference by Pietro Gheller, Director of the Group’s Wood Division, services and customer relationships are increasingly central to SCM’s vision.
“Our teams work closely with customers, supporting them in their daily operations to help them maximise machine performance, improving efficiency and productivity. A relationship we are further strengthening thanks to new digital tools and sensor systems that allow us to intervene before potential issues occur.”
The Group has also accelerated the development of integrated and automated engineering solutions, partly thanks to the addition of Tecno Logica systems to its portfolio.
“In 2025 SCM increased its international market share despite the critical global context. Growth was mainly driven by strong performances in several European markets and by the development of integrated cell and line projects for key industry players,” emphasised Gabriele Patti, SCM Commercial Director.
Innovation was also a key focus of the event, with 15 new technological solutions presented across panel sizing, CNC machining centres for furniture manufacturing, solid wood processing and timber construction, window and door production lines, finishing systems for extra-matt effects, throughfeed moulding, double-end tenoning and new band saws for advanced joinery.

The strong participation and international interest confirmed how essential this journey is today to remain competitive in the market”.
Comprehensive software solutions and digital services
A key focus of the event was an integrated service ecosystem designed to help manufacturers achieve higher production efficiency, greater operational control and continuous uptime. The system leverages advanced technologies capable of transforming machine-generated data into actionable operational support.
At the core of this modular architecture is WinMES, SCM’s Manufacturing Execution System engineered in partnership with Tecnest, a specialist in advanced software for production planning and supply chain management. Acting as the factory’s true digital brain, WinMES integrates and interprets real-time data to optimise production flows, accelerate operational decision-making and enhances overall plant reliability.
Among the highlights was Smart Spindle, the advanced spindle-sensor system that enables predictive analysis and helps prevent unplanned machine downtime.
To safeguard the entire ecosystem, SCM has also integrated advanced cybersecurity solutions, ensuring protection for data, processes and infrastructure.
Also presented was Additional Care, the programme introduced in January 2026 for all new SCM machines. It provides comprehensive protection through extended warranty coverage on spare parts and technical support, along with a three-year maintenance plan, ensuring more stable, secure and reliable production over time.
SCM showcased an integrated sizing and nesting cell for batch-size-one production combining advanced automation, operational flexibility and reduced energy consumption.

Also on display was stefani cell E, a compact and automated entry-level solution for batch-size-one production. It transforms the edgebanding of pre-squared panels into an efficient and high-quality process. Ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises aiming for high production performance.
Also central to SCM engineering offering were the integrated advanced automation and robotic systems by Tecno Logica, designed to support extremely high production capacities even in highly diversified and complex scenarios across multiple sectors, from woodworking to automotive and broader industrial applications.
Two new models were unveiled for the accord range, designed for machining both solid wood and panels.
Also on display was the morbidelli x50 nesting centre equipped with a new integrated lifter system that ensures safe and fast handling of any laminate and chipboard panel.
The new gabbiani af beam saw range was presented in a world preview at the Villa Verucchio production plant.
The range introduces several key innovations, including unrivalled production times thanks to new rapid work cycles, advanced motorisation systems, an innovative saw blade carriage with power up to 27 kW. Operational units have been optimised to reduce energy consumption while maintaining high-precision cutting performance. Other strengths of the gabbiani af range include simplified machine maintenance and maximum operator safety.
Also in evidence was celaschi p20, new automatic double-end tenoner, the most compact in the range. It stands out for its high productivity and precision and is ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises producing wooden panels and alternative materials for construction, insulation, industry, doors and solid wood components. Whether used as a stand-alone machine or integrated into a production line, it ensures maximum application flexibility. Process control is intuitive and comprehensive thanks to the Maestro active square HMI software.
One of the key highlights was the new windorflex line, which combines productivity, flexibility and advanced automation. The line integrates the windorflex 2 cell with robotic loading and unloading within a complete system capable not only of carrying out machining operations, but also of managing the preparation of semi-finished products and automated storage of both raw materials and finished workpieces.
The solution is designed for large companies that must handle increasingly fragmented production organised in small batches without compromising maximum efficiency.
New features were also introduced for the windor nt1 angular machining centre equipped with the new "Optima BR" drilling-routing unit to carry out all complementary machining, including horizontal milling, and the innovative Maestro active windoor interface software.
Also on display was superset nt: the automatic throughfeed moulder equipped with the new electronic control including the "eye-S" console fitted with 10” colour touch-screen display and the Maestro active 4-side software, for the machining of profiles for windows, doors, stairs, beads, frames and furnishings.
On show also connexus fj, the new CNC tenoning-mortising solution designed to meet all the machining demands for different kinds of solid wood or coated MDF, including complex joints such as Miter Door, Face Frame and French Joint on cabinet doors and shutters.
SCM presented - in an immersive digital experience - the new area gl, 5-axis CNC machining centre, engineered to ensure high performance, precision and reliability in the machining of straight and curved glulam elements intended for public building roofs, multi-storey buildings and infrastructure projects.
Key features include a work area up to 5×50 metres and the possibility to perform pendulum machining thanks to exclusive mobile fences. Programming and control are managed through the innovative CAM Maestro lab beam&wall and SCM’s Maestro active HMI.
The focus of the area dedicated to surface finishing was the matt effect, a continuously growing trend in the furniture world. Superfici unveiled Supermatt, a new physical matting system capable of achieving ultra-low-gloss finishes with a velvety tactile effect and outstanding durability.
Simple, high-performing, and accessible, the new system ensures reduced operating costs and easy integration even into existing lines, with a limited investment.
Physical matting becomes straightforward and expands the aesthetic possibilities of coated surfaces, increasing production flexibility.
The system is fully compatible with roller, curtain coater, or spray applications.
Joinery machines
Previewed at the event were the s 50n and s 90n models, among the new entries in SCM’s complete range of band saws. These solutions combine robust construction, high-quality materials and maximum safety. Cast-iron worktables and flywheels ensure highly precise cutting, telescopic blade guards guarantee maximum safety during every stage of operation, and powerful motors with electronic brake or inverter deliver high performance and long service life.
Also on display was nova si 4, the most versatile circular saw in its category, featuring a new highly reliable sliding carriage — guaranteed for 10 years — and extensive customisation possibilities according to specific application needs.
Great interest was also generated by the innovative “blade off” safety system for circular saws, which minimises intrinsic risks through an intelligent detection system and an efficient blade-exclusion mechanism.
For the first time on display was the MC 307 Falcon by Mecal Machinery, a company of the Scm Group. This 4-axis machining centre for aluminium, PVC, and steel profiles ensures high precision and productivity. It is the fastest in its class (up to 150 m/min) and stands out for its flexibility in machining aluminium profiles for both fenestration applications (doors, windows, façades) and furniture components (kitchens, wardrobes, office partitions, etc.).
