The Defense Production Area at HANNOVER MESSE is a new, forward-looking exhibition format aimed at strengthening the European security and defense industry. It focuses on suppliers and companies from the production technology sector showcasing innovative solutions for defense, security, and resilience. In cooperation with DSEI Germany, an attractive platform is being created to demonstrate how modern technologies meet the complex demands of security-related production.

Production Technology for DefenseIn cooperation with DSEI Germany, the Defence Production Area showcases how modern production technologies support the security and defense industry, from batch size 1 to full-scale manufacturing. Key topics include automation, digitalization, data integration, traceability, IT/OT security, and AI-driven quality assurance. Visitors experience concrete solutions, and exhibitors benefit from high visibility, targeted campaigns, and direct access to key decision-makers.
The Defense Production Area provides a home for defense production technology in Hall 26. It bridges the gap between traditional industry and the defense industry. On display are technologies that the defense industry needs for flexible, resilient, and scalable production. Finished weapon systems are not included. These and the complete portfolio of the defense industry will be on display in March 2027 at DSEI Germany in Hanover. Key topics at the Defense Production Area 2026 include: scalable & flexible production, additive manufacturing & new materials, digitalization & industrial software solutions, supply chain, logistics & resilience, sustainability & energy efficiency in defense production.
