Live demonstrations around industry 4.0, presentations by architects on contract and construction with wood, complete training cycles, technical presentations on additive manufacturing, coatings or sustainable design are some of the topics of the powerful Conference Agenda of FIMMA + Maderalia 2024 .
The biennial (May 14-17) is now finalizing preparations for the start of a historic edition in which it will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
València, April 30, 2024.- FIMMA + Maderalia has set up its definitive agenda of conferences, talks and technical sessions that will take place throughout its next edition, from May 14 to 17 at Feria Valencia. There will be a total of more than 120 presentations planned in the ten planned scenarios and which will address practically any aspect related to the sector: from the latest advances in technology, manufacturing and industry 4.0 to trends in design, architecture and construction with wood. It will be, in this sense, the most complete, broad and extensive FIMMA + Maderalia programming in at least the last decade.
And the professional who visits FIMMA + Maderalia in just fifteen days will have to choose from up to a dozen spaces and forums where these conferences will be given. In practically all the pavilions, which will share the commercial area of the stands with specific exhibition and conference areas.
The first thing that visitors will find will be the two pavilions on Level 2 of Feria Valencia, where the FIMMA machinery and technology competition is located. The FIMMA Future zone will be located in Pavilion 1 of Level 2 , focused on showing the latest technologies and manufacturing processes, and where demonstrations around additive manufacturing and industry 4.0 will be carried out every day with the help of the AIDIMME Technological Institute.
Right in front, in Pavilion 2 of Level 2, is located one of the large training areas that FIMMA + Maderalia will have this year. This is the so-called 'Clubmadera Maderaula FIMMA' , managed by CESEFOR and in which up to ten training blocks will be taught from Tuesday to Thursday. These training actions will be taught both by technicians from CESEFOR itself and from leading companies in the sector and will focus specifically on all possible aspects of the use of wood as a structural element and for construction, such as prefabricated elements, techniques and processes of execution, assembly of light-frame buildings or energy efficiency, among many other aspects.
On Level 3 the four pavilions planned for Maderalia will be located where, once again, the exhibition area of the stands will be combined with the exhibitions and conferences. This will be the case of Pavilion 2 of Level 3, where the large Work{H}ub installation by José Manuel Ferrero will be located and where a cycle of conferences, debate tables and technical presentations will be held on the relationship between design, architecture, wood, sustainability and industrialization .
This series of conferences will feature the presence of prominent design and architecture professionals such as Héctor Ruiz , Jesús Plaza de Requena y Plaza, Jaime Sanahuja , Felipe Veites from Ruiz Larrea Arquitectura or José María Medrano from Medrano + Saez.
Already in Pavilion 3 of the same Level 3 , the visitor will find the space of the ' Essentials Innovation Catwalk' area , where a committee of experts from the AIDIMME Technological Institute will select the most innovative elements that can be found at FIMMA + Maderalia. In this area, different demonstrations will also be held during the four days of the fair, such as wood finishes and coatings, toxicity of materials, quality and safety, and regulations on flooring and coverings derived from wood.
For its part, Pavilion 4 of Level 3 will be the one that concentrates most of the activities and conferences. Especially due to the location of the second CESEFOR training area, the so-called ' Clubmadera Maderaula' in Maderalia and in which different blocks will again be addressed with content closely linked to construction with wood and the value of this material as a living element, sustainable and versatile. Some of the aspects that will be discussed will be the Technical Building Code, high-performance and energy efficient construction or the decarbonization process.
This pavilion will also house a multipurpose Conference Room that will host, among other conferences, the one organized by the AEIM around forests, wood and traceability in the new bioeconomy or some more technical presentations around the innovative training of the Galician center of CESUGA or the use of Big Data in the internationalization of companies.
Without leaving the pavilion, professionals who come to FIMMA + Maderalia will be able to visit an authentic house built 100% with wood through the project 'The Mediterranean Habitat Module House'. In this same area, a demonstration area promoted by AIDIMME will be located and in which personalized attention will be provided around topics such as forest management, R&D for wood construction or the main parameters of wood construction.
Lastly, and in different locations, FIMMA + Maderalia will host different activities, such as the meeting with the specialized press that ALVIC plans to hold on the first day of the fair at 1:00 p.m.; the assembly of the PTFOR Forest Technology Platform in the Ausiàs Marcha Room on May 15 at 10:00 or a conference on circular economy in the wood sector, which will also be held in said room on May 16 from 10:00 10:30 and in which the presentation of the Ecowoox initiative is scheduled.
The València Open Wood initiative will also highlight , which will bring professionals in the sector closer to those emblematic buildings of the city with a prominent role of wood in their construction. The visit will take place on the first day of the fair, on May 14 from 4:00 p.m. and will visit the Palau de la Generalitat Valenciana and the Faculty of Theology . At the end of the visit, an approach to non-destructive diagnosis of the wood will be carried out by AIDIMME technicians.
One of the most anticipated activities will be the celebration of the 40th anniversary of FIMMA + Maderalia , an event that will finally be held on the afternoon of May 15 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Foro Centro de Feria Valencia, right at the entrance of FIMMA + Maderalia. A very special event and for which an open and festive format has been chosen to celebrate such a special anniversary with visitors, exhibitors and friends of the sector.
