APPLICATIONS TO EXHIBIT OFF TO AN EXCELLENT START FOR THE NEW EDITION OF THE EVENT SCHEDULED AT A FIERAMILANO RHO FROM 11 TO 14 MAY 2027
From Tuesday 11 to Friday 14 May 2027, the Exhibition Centre of fieramilano Rho will host the twenty-fourth edition of LAMIERA, the international trade show dedicated to the industry of sheet-metal forming and cutting machine tools and to innovative technologies related to the sector.
Indeed, the collection of applications to exhibit is already off to a flying start: the application form is online and initial feedback demonstrates the strong interest from companies in this event. Indeed, many key industry players are already confirmed among exhibitors.
This is a significant signal that proves the strong appeal of the exhibition already from its early stages. Over the years, LAMIERA has become one of the top events on the international landscape for the world of sheet-metal forming and cutting, a sector in which Italy plays a leading role worldwide, in terms of consumption, as well as of production capacity and propensity to export.
Promoted by UCIMU SISTEMI PER PRODURRE and organised by CEU CENTRO ESPOSIZIONI UCIMU, LAMIERA is the only trade fair in Italy solely focused on the sheet metal forming field.
As confirmed by the slogan adopted for this edition, “The Sound of Innovation”, this event is chosen by Italian and foreign companies as a stage to present their innovative projects and solutions in preview.
The economic and industrial context, supported in Italy by the incentives of industrial policy introduced by the government in 2026, will certainly benefit all the enterprises that will decide to exhibit at LAMIERA to capture the demand for efficient, sustainable technological solutions capable of generating value over time.
Machines, systems and equipment for processing and cutting sheet metal, tubes, profiles and wire; structural metalwork; presses, dies and moulds; welding, surface treatments and finishing; parts, components, accessories, tooling, clamping systems, technical and industrial subcontracting make up the core of the trade show, offering a comprehensive overview of the supply chain and production processes, with more than 500 working machines on display.
An exhibition that showcases sheet-metal technology in its entirety at every edition - from machines to systems, from mechanical innovation to digitalisation, as well as solutions for production efficiency and sustainability - therefore strengthening, year after year, its position among international events organised for the sector.
The trade show will highlight 6 technology themes related to machinery: FABBRICA FUTURA will be dedicated to software and technologies for connectivity and data management, automation and digital and robotic systems applied to sheet metal processing; SALDATECH will offer an overview of the wide and diversified world of welding, one of the most important sheet metal joining technologies; FASTENER INDUSTRY will highlight wide ranges of screws, bolts, clamping and fastening systems; HEAT AND SURFACE TREATMENTS will host machines, plants, accessories and consumables for pre- and post-production treatments of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, providing a comprehensive view of this rapidly evolving segment; METROLOGY & TESTING will be focused on testing and measuring machines and systems and quality control solutions that are vital for sheet metal processing; BLECH ITALY SERVICE will spotlight technical subcontracting and industrial services for the sector.
Furthermore, again this year, LAMIERA will showcase a selection of Revamping & Retrofitting, dedicated to properly refurbished and retrofitted machines and systems, equipped with new features and capable of meeting the needs of a market that is complementary to that of new equipment.
“LAMIERA - stated Riccardo Rosa, president of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE – is a unique event in the Italian trade fair calendar, as demonstrated by the outstanding results of the last edition: in 2025, the trade show registered more than 24,000 visits of professional operators, including the visitors of MADE IN STEEL, covering a total exhibition area of 40,000 square meters and hosting more than 400 exhibiting companies, 31% of which were from abroad, representing 23 countries.”
“As per tradition - added Riccardo Rosa - thanks also to the six technology themes, the exhibition will feature innovative solutions and state-of-the-art technologies. The wide product ranges on show are a key point of attraction for international trade professionals, who will find the best opportunities in this event to meet the key players of the sector. The comprehensive presence of all Italian manufacturers – large, medium and small-sized enterprises, for standard and super-customised technologies - is indeed a key driver also for the attendance of leading international players, coming both from established, as well as emerging markets.”
“As we know –- continued the president of UCIMU – the variety of technologies on display is a crucial element also for attracting visitors from all over the world. These will also include the end-users invited within the incoming mission organised by ICE-Italian Trade Agency, in cooperation with MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) and UCIMU.
“Finally, among the main reasons why attending the exhibition is a must for sector professionals is the importance of the Italian market. With a domestic consumption reaching 1.6 billion euro in 2025 - concluded Riccardo Rosa - Italy is currently the third world market for these technologies. Its relevance should further be boosted in terms of dynamism, thanks to the Hyper-depreciation incentive implemented by the government (available until September 2028), which supports and fosters investments in new production technologies by local end-users, to the benefit of all exhibiting companies.”
Side initiatives and projects will add further value to the trade show, making the visit experience complete and full of interesting opportunities. LAMIALAMIERA, the exhibition event area, will return with a full programme of meetings focusing on crucial issues for the sector. In addition, the incoming programme for international operators and all education-related initiatives will be offered again.
Moreover, a new feature in this edition will be the LAMIERA FUTURETECH AWARD, conceived to enhance the value of innovation driving the evolution of industrial manufacturing. Taking inspiration from the BI-MU experience, this award spotlights the most advanced technological solutions featured at LAMIERA. The initiative is open exclusively to exhibitors and their most innovative products, aiming to celebrate excellence that contributes to anticipating the future of the sector. The projects submitted for the award are evaluated in three key areas: innovation in mechanical technology; digitalisation of processes and services; economic, environmental and social sustainability. LAMIERA FUTURETECH AWARD reaffirms the role of the exhibition as an event of reference for those advancing technology, efficiency and sustainable development in the manufacturing industry.
