This coming Monday, 15 September, the 20th edition of SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN will officially open its doors. More than 800 exhibitors from 44 countries will be showcasing their innovative products and services at Messe Essen through to Friday, 19 September, at the world’s leading trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing technologies.
This year’s key themes include digitalisation, sustainable production, and attracting skilled professionals.
The first day of the fair features several highlights:
- Kick-off of the national welding competition “Jugend schweißt”: For 30 years now, Germany’s most talented young welders have been competing in this prestigious event. The International Welding Competition, featuring teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Greece, India, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, Serbia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Germany, will follow on Wednesday.
- “Connecting Continents” lecture series: Starting at 3 pm in the new Future Hub (Hall 7), experts from Morocco, China, Brazil and Slovakia will share insights into current projects, challenges and opportunities.
