Pons reveals that forecasts are approaching 120,000 m² of exhibition space, which would represent “the largest edition in two decades.”

València, March 30, 2026 – Feria Hábitat València approaches its 2026 edition with the goal of consolidating its growth and strengthening its position as a major international platform for the habitat sector. The President of the Organizing Committee, Vicente Pons — also linked to the historic firm Point, present at every edition of the fair — analyzes the key aspects of an event that aims to mark a turning point due to its scale, global offering, and capacity to generate real business opportunities.

What expectations do you have for the upcoming Feria Hábitat València 2026?

We approach 2026 with reasonable optimism, based on data and the sector’s response. We come from a very solid trajectory in recent editions, and everything indicates that we will take a new qualitative and quantitative leap. The habitat industry is showing adaptability, a commitment to design, and an international vocation, and Hábitat reflects all of this. Our goal is to consolidate that growth with an ambitious edition, but always with our feet on the ground.

One of the main highlights will be the joint celebration with other fairs. What does this formula bring?

It is one of the great strengths of this edition. The coincidence with Textilhogar, Espacio Cocina SICI, and the new 360 by Cevisama initiative allows us to create a unique ecosystem. We are not just adding fairs together, but building a global vision of contemporary habitat: furniture, textiles, kitchens, bathrooms, materials, surfaces… All connected and enhancing synergies across sectors. Professionals, for example, will appreciate having a very significant presence this year of such a strategic sector as the bathroom segment, which has responded very well to this joint initiative.

In short, all of this positions us as the largest comprehensive showcase for habitat in Europe and multiplies the appeal for both exhibitors and professional visitors.

What stands out in the exhibition offering planned for 2026?

Diversity and quality. Hábitat brings together a very complete offering, covering furniture and decoration, lighting, textiles, and contract projects. Additionally, we have a very solid exhibitor base: more than a thousand companies, with a clear domestic majority but with growing international presence. This combination allows us to showcase the best of Spanish design alongside international proposals that enrich the event and elevate its level.

Internationalization is precisely one of the fair’s pillars.

Without a doubt. Today, Hábitat is a benchmark not only in Spain but also beyond our borders. We work with key markets such as Europe, Latin America, and North America, which translates into international presence among both exhibitors and visitors. Internationalization is not a one-time goal; it is a structural strategy that we continue to strengthen edition after edition.

In this regard, what role does the Buyers’ Plan play?

It is absolutely strategic. We are talking about a program with over one million euros in investment aimed at attracting more than 3,000 professional buyers with high decision-making power, both national and international. The important thing is not just the number, but the quality of these profiles: distributors, prescribers, contract managers… In short, professionals who generate real business for exhibiting companies. That is the true value of Hábitat.

Furthermore, I must highlight the unconditional institutional support we receive from public bodies, especially the boost from the Generalitat Valenciana and specifically Ivace + i Internacional. Their support for the industry and the fair’s internationalization is key, and as proof, thanks to them, we can provide our exhibitors with more than 250 top-level buyers from key foreign markets for our exports, as happened in the last edition and will be repeated in 2026.

What type of professional visitor predominates at the fair?

We have a very qualified and diverse profile. Approximately 38% are architects and interior designers, 26% belong to the retail channel, 24% to the contract sector, and 12% to purchasing groups. In other words, we cover the entire habitat value chain, from specification to distribution. This ensures that companies find real business opportunities.

There is talk that 2026 could be a historic edition in terms of size.

It is too early to give final figures, but we can say that we are working on a configuration that could reach 120,000 square meters of exhibition space across all events. If confirmed, this would be the largest edition in more than twenty years in València. But beyond size, the important thing is quality, visitor experience, and the ability to generate business.

Beyond the exhibition offering, Hábitat also stands out for its content and parallel activities. What role do they play in the overall proposal of the fair?

They are an absolutely differentiating element. Feria Hábitat València is not just a commercial space; it is also a major forum for reflection, inspiration, and trends. In 2026, we will again focus on high value-added proposals, such as the conceptual installation of a hotel designed by a leading creator, which will allow the application of design in the contract field to be visualized very tangibly. It is undoubtedly our flagship project and has been the main attraction of the fair for the past two editions.

This is complemented by the Ágora nude program, featuring a full schedule of conferences and round tables on the sector’s major challenges, as well as the nude salon, which continues to be an essential platform for young designers.

In addition, we promote various exhibitions related to areas such as design, tradition, and innovation. Together, all these initiatives enrich the visitor experience and reinforce Hábitat’s positioning as a global design event.

You belong to Point, a historic firm that has participated in all editions. What does Hábitat mean for a company like yours?

For us, it is an essential event. Having participated in all editions gives us a very clear perspective on the evolution of the sector and the fair itself. Hábitat has known how to reinvent itself, grow, and adapt to market changes. Today, it is a key platform for visibility, internationalization, and direct contact with clients. This is something that companies particularly value.

Finally, what message would you convey to the sector regarding 2026?

That we are facing a great opportunity. The habitat sector has talent, industrial capacity, and enormous creative potential. Feria Hábitat València is the best showcase to project all of that to the world. Our commitment is to continue building a useful, competitive fair aligned with the real needs of companies. In 2026, I am confident we will take another step in that direction.
