WMF 2018 Gathers International Stakeholders and Reaches the World

The Shanghai International Furniture Machinery and Woodworking Machinery Fair (WMF 2018) will be held on 10-13 September 2018 at National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai, China. As a cosmopolitan exhibition of furniture machinery and woodworking machinery, the fair gathers exhibitors from all over the world, showcasing innovative technologies and machinery to professional buyers and manufacturers to help them stay ahead of the industry and seize vast business opportunities. Under the theme of “Comprehensive Showcase of Sustainable Automation and Smart Factory Solutions for the Woodworking and Furniture Industry", WMF 2018 collaborates with CIFF (Shanghai) to create a centralized trade and information platform occupying a total area of 400,000 sq.m, as a window for the enterprises to reach the world.

Global Enterprises Gather Around in this Annual Industry Event

In WMF 2018 and CIFF (Shanghai), more than 1,700 enterprises from all around the world will take part in this event, including China, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United States and Taiwan, etc. 15 companies have formed a Taiwan Pavilion to demonstrate their latest technologies, machines and manufacturing solutions at the fairground, these companies include Fonjin Woodworking Machinery Co., Ltd., Chang Tjer Machinery Co., Ltd., Hinoki Machinery Co., Ltd., Innovator Machinery Co., Ltd., Joway Machinery Co., Ltd. and Woodwise Technology Co., Ltd., etc.

Furthermore, the Panel Alliance will show up in Hall 7 (Booth no.: 7.1C2) of WMF 2018. The Panel Alliance comprises of several leading enterprises worldwide, including GLOBUS, PAL, TRASMEC and IMAL from Italy, RECALOR from Spain and VYNCKE from Belgium. Either as an independent supplier or working in a team, the alliance members provide all the equipment required for PB, MDF and OSB production lines, offering investors remarkable technologies at a low cost.

Concurrent Forums Assemble Knowledge from Different Places
In order to tap into new business opportunities, it is essential to keep abreast of the latest trends in the industry. WMF 2018 understands the needs of enterprises and thus organizes a series of concurrent forums. Industry experts from various places are invited to speak in the forums, they include Damiano Bragie, General Manager of SCM Group from Italy; Olivier Nold , Sales Vice President of Furniture of Lectra from France; Gary Waugh, Professor of the University of Melbourne and Kenji Wong, the rewarded interior designer from Hong Kong. They will share their views over industry hot topics like Industry 4.0, innovative designs of smart and custom furniture, design and production of upholstered furniture, as well as sawmill and drying technologies.

In the featured forum “New Business Opportunities in Woodworking & Furniture Industry: Malaysia, Myanmar and Russia”, representatives from Malaysia, Myanmar and Russia will analyze the trend and development of the local wood industry under the “Belt & Road” Initiative. They will share how they dealt with the challenges encountered during the transition process. In addition, two of the exhibitors of WMF 2018, Siempelkamp and Dieffenbacher, will also unveil their innovation achievements on this premium platform.
