5 exhibition areas for 5 technological issues
Visitors will be offered an event full of proposals for all production requirements. Besides machines and systems, making up the core of the exhibition, which has been held every two years since the Fifties and even during the peak of the public health emergency, 33.BI-MU will propose a special focus regarding 5 technological issues for 5 exhibition areas.
RobotHeart is the new exhibition area, sponsored by SIRI, the Italian Robotics and Automation Association, dedicated to industrial robotics, automation and related technologies, components, systems and artificial intelligence, whose presence is more and more widespread in all major sectors, such as those of machine tools, various mechanical fields, electronics, automotive, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, logistics, packaging, biomedical and cosmetic products, all of them widely represented as business activities of visitors.
The key players of the exhibition will be manufacturers, integrators, universities and exponents of the academic and research world, spin-offs and start-ups, to represent the various aspects of a sector that is crucial for the competitiveness of the industrial system today.
BI-MU Digital is the exhibition area focused on digital technologies. This space will host the leading players in the field of software, ICT, sensors, technologies for connectivity and for data management and safety, capable of enabling the transformation 4.0 of factories.
In addition, thanks to the presence of prominent figures belonging to the research and innovation world, also linked to universities, BI-MU Digital will offer a comprehensive overview of what the futur.
Additive manufacturing by using “machine tools of the third kind” is now an integral part of the metalworking world. Therefore, already for several editions, BI-MU has housed a wide overview of the solutions available in the market, expression of the production of the leading players in the sector and of a growing number of machine tool manufacturers, who develop additive solutions to complete and integrate their traditional product ranges.
Machines, materials, software, products, solutions for final testing and post-processing will be in the spotlight of the space sponsored by AITA- ITALIAN ASSOCIATION OF ADDITIVE TECHNOLOGIES, which will complete the exhibition with demonstration areas, in-depth meetings and discussions among experts, scholars and operators of the sector.
The issue of metrology and testing concerns technologies, products, services and solutions developed to guarantee production quality, which is today an essential element in the offering of production systems, relying on a continuous development of product and process innovation as one of the crucial factors to win the challenge of competitiveness. Measuring instruments, testing machines, artificial vision, equipment for non-destructive testing and quality control, as well as certification services will be some of the focuses in the Metrology & Testing area.
Being naturally contiguous with almost all the industrial sectors, the logistics world will have BI-MU Logistics as a special area focused on the solutions capable of better supporting the procurement and storage of materials, the management of stocks, the systematic and standardised cataloguing products within mechanical factories.
33.BI-MU and XYLEXPO: 100,000 visitors expected
Starting from this edition, BI-MU – taking place in the halls 9-11 and 13-15 of fieramilano Rho – will take place in conjunction with Xylexpo, the international biennial world exhibition for woodworking technology and components for the furniture industry, which will be held in the opposite halls (22-24; 14-18), thus creating a single exhibition area with a complete and mutual possibility of entry for both trade shows.
The two exhibitions, unrivalled leaders in their respective sectors of reference, intend to be two separate, yet absolutely complementary events making up a single big trade show dedicated to the manufacturing industry. The 100,000 visitors expected in Milan on the occasion of the “week dedicated to the mechanical machinery industry” will find an excellent proposal in terms of content, services, product display and in-depth thematic analysis. Many of these will concern both exhibitions, thus allowing the involved operators to optimise their travel expenses and time.
