The 20th Anniversary edition of the major exhibition of the furniture and woodworking industries of Uzbekistan “MebelExpo Uzbekistan” will be held in Tashkent on May 28 to 30, 2024.

Rapid construction of residential complexes, social infrastructure facilities, office buildings and business centers determine the high and stable demand for woodworking products and ready furniture. To date, around 90% of the total market capacity is satisfied by domestic furniture. There are more than 5,000 companies manufacturing furniture, materials, components, as well as woodworking enterprises in the country, more than 300,000 people are employed in the industry. Over the last decade, a range of manufactured products has significantly expanded, quality and design have improved in accordance with the global trends, import volumes are also increasing.

To facilitate further growth of the domestic furniture manufacture and reduce costs, as well as to enhance competitiveness of domestic products the Resolution according to which from February 1, 2023 to January 1, 2024, the import of raw materials, spare parts, fittings and accessories used in the furniture manufacture is subject to a zero customs duty rate was adopted.

International Exhibition “Production Technologies. Woodworking. Furniture and accessories. - MebelExpo Uzbekistan” is the largest trade exhibition, which annually becomes the main showcase and the platform for effective dialogue for all industry professionals in the region.
