Evolution of Versatile Processing
Multus is a versatile processing center comprising turning and milling machines. This device was introduced into the market by Japanese concern “Okuma”, a leader of the machine-tool industry. Due to implementation of some “non-classical” technical solutions, Multus is able to advance manufacturability of processing and possesses such technological qualities as large capacity of the tool bank, PNC OSP-2000 system , collision avoidance system (prevents the collision of motion work, and thus rules out the possibility of breakdown through the operator’s mistake), high accuracy of processing, perfect thermal stability, optimal “price/quality” ratio. Multus is highly productive and quick-resetting processing center rather than a simple lathe, its benefits can be used both in single-piece, serial and even mass production. In our country the Japanese concern is represented by the firm “Stanko-Tekhnologia”.

С начала 60-х годов европейские предприятия пополняют свой станочный парк за счет японского металлорежущего оборудования. Именно в это время на рынке появились станки концерна Okuma, который уверенно занял лидирующие позиции, потеснив многих местных производителей. Было создано отдельное подразделение — Okuma Europe с главным офисом в городе Крефельд в Германии. В его состав сегодня входит 25 представительств по всей Европе, в том числе и в Украине. В нашей стране японскую корпорацию представляет компания «Станко-Технология».
